Partnership Programs

NURSE ASSISTANT TRAINING (CNA)

Adult School Allied Health Educators, Inc. is approved by the California Department of Public Health Licensing and Certification program (L&C), Aide and Technician Certification Section (ATCS) Services, to offer a nursing assistant program. The program is an approximately 7 week program( 25 -30 hours per week) designed to prepare qualified individuals to become safe and competent Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) in a variety of health-care facilities. We are also approved by the BPPE (Bureau of Private Post Secondary Education), State of California.

The Certified Nursing Assistant Course is designed to provide the student with nursing theory, skills laboratory and clinical experience necessary to work as a CNA in a variety of health care settings. Classroom simulation labs held during the theory portion of the class will be utilized to reinforce clinical training.

General:
This is a 150 + hour, class for students who wish to work in, long-term care facilities.   Successful completion of the program makes students eligible to take the state certification exam, administered by a state-approved testing vendor such as the Red Cross. Upon passing the exam, students will be credentialed as a Certified Nurse Assistant by the Department of Public Heath.

PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN CPT 1

Liberty Adult Education in partnership with Diablo Medical Training is offering Phlebotomy Technician Training Program. This is a 5-week program for persons wishing to become entry level professionals in the field of Phlebotomy. The program includes 40 hours of classroom and laboratory didactic and practical training, plus an 80 hour externship for those individual students at designated and approved clinical sites. Students successfully completing the program will sit for the National Exam. Classes taught by Diablo Medical Training.
